22 Oct Five Quick Tips for Website Merchandising
If you want your dealership to experience sales growth month after month, website merchandising is a crucial area where you have to succeed, and today, I’m giving you Five Quick Tips for Website Merchandising. Even if you’re doing some of these, there’s always room for improvement.
The first thing you have to have is a message that is precise and straightforward. If someone has to think too long to understand what you’re saying, then you’re probably doing it wrong.
Next, you need to make sure your campaigns are consistent. Whatever campaign you’re using with your “traditional” advertising (print, radio, tv, etc) is what you should also have on your website.
After you have a clear message and a consistent campaign, make sure your offers are competitive and enticing. Remember, car shoppers are not looking for the same deal. Some people like to lease and some people like to purchase, so make sure you offer something for everybody.
The fourth tip is probably the most important and a lot of times the one most forgotten. You MUST always have a call to action. People need to be told what to do. Once they find something they like, they want to know what the next step is and how to get there.
The fifth and final tip is to always track your results. Tracking your results allows you to make educated decisions and adjustments.
Now take a minute, look at your site, and see if you’re doing these things:
- Clear Message
- Consistent Campaign
- Enticing Offers
- Call to Actions
- Tracking Results
